Being Tried and Tested

I have made a lot of mistakes in my life and most of them have been caused by rushing into things. Don’t get me wrong I am happy and glad that my life turned out the way it did. I am glad that God never gives up on us (people) but continues to train them as long as we do not cut ourselves off. Spiritual matters are not supposed to be rushed into. There are a lot of trials and tests that we have to pass through before we can step into our spiritual calling. People will never really understand God’s path for us, and we as well do not understand the path that God has for us, He reveals it bit by bit because His thoughts and ways are higher than ours. God cannot be mocked and manipulated. God will never bend to our will but we are the ones who are supposed to surrender to His will.

Our spiritual backbone is continually strengthened as we pass through different trials. I have come to have a different outlook on trials and tests. I have always thought that God is a cruel God by allowing certain painful and embarrassing things in my life and have always resorted to rebellion against Him and His ways. I truly used to believe that Paul was a crazy man when he accepted that God placed a thorn on his side to buffet him. I have since began to admire Paul's strength and believe in God.

God has shown me that, it is because of His love that He allows them (trials) to happen. I can’t believe even now that I am the one who is typing this. It is only now that I truly believe that God chastises those He loves. He prunes those he loves so that we can truly appreciate Him. Once we have passed through these tests we are able to produce fruits that abide forever and are visible to everyone. It is because of these trials that we become the salt of the earth. It is because of these trials that our spiritual eyes are opened.

I want to encourage you today to lean on the mercies and grace of God. Do not be led stray by the teaching that when you are in Christ everything will be smooth. There will be times of tests and trials but don’t worry God is always there to lift us out of the clay. Do not rush into things and make the same mistakes that I have made simply because we do not want to yield to His will

Our Healer

The Lord is our healer and He is able to heal anything not only our physical body but our soul and spirit as well. The only way to get spiritual healing is to be connected to God. After being connected to God in your spirit then the Soul and the Physical being will be able to receive healing. I believe that to a certain extent we have all been emotionally wounded and we need healing in our emotions. If we do not receive emotional healing we become full of resentment and and anger. We view things and people with wounds. The strange thing is that we sometimes hide our wounds. We don't want anyone near our true self. We build up walls. We push other people away and hurt them in order to protect out wounds. If we do not allow God to heal us, we do not grow. A 45 year old person can have emotions and behaviors of a 5 year old. This is not normal. If there has been pain in our past, let us allow God to heal us so that we can grow. Imagine what happens if one does not take a physica...

Angry Unhappy Christians

Unfortunately its true, we do have angry and unhappy Christians. I always wonder why its like that. God promises us joy, peace and happiness and yet we still have a lot of angry unhappy Christians. I believe it’s time we re-evaluate our Christianity. Christianity is not supposed to be a bondage and a burden. It’s supposed to give us life in abundance. , We have a people who are Christians out of duty and not out of a free will and love for God. People are just afraid of going to hell and they are teaching other people fear and bondage instead of love and freedom. Bondage brings hatred, anger and unhappiness. It saddens me to see my brethren suffering and not enjoying Christianity. This week I encourage you to lighten up and stop judging everyone that comes your way. This week I encourage you to let go and let God be . Lets re-evaluate our Christianity, why are we Christians?
