RISK

Yesterday during my devotional time, the Lord led me to Matthew 25:15. The interesting thing about this particular verse is that after the Master gave the guys the talents, He left straightaway (KJV).

I always missed the straightaway part. Yesterday it seemed to me that it was rather unfair for the Lord not to tell them what to do with the talents He gave them. I know the Lord as the Lord who gives us direction as to how we must use whatever He gave us. This is why this verse seemed strange to me.

It even became more unfair to me that when He came back He required more from the guys and yet He did not tell the guys what they should do.

The answer from the Lord was quite simple when I asked Him. He said there are people around us who tell us what do to with our talents because He has sent them. Sometimes we fear to take Godly advice because of preconcieved ideas. sometimes we fail to take oppotunities that the Lord has placed before us because we just do not trust anyone. we are afraid of failing. At the end of it all we do not have any excuse.

Hearing from God and taking a step of faith is not a risk. People always say you have to risk, you have to take a chance. Taking a step of faith after hearing from the Lord is not a risk because His word never fails. In the kingdom of God we do not risk. we just have courage and take God at His word. The courage also comes from Him. He gives us faith which then gives birth to courage.

In the world, the courage does not come from God but it comes from ourselves. That is why it is a risk because no one is backing your step. Sometimes I do things without hearing from the Lord and the end result is always not good. I just do not want to take risks anymore, I want to walk by faith. Please join me in this endevor to walk by faith and not by sight and past experiences. sometimes the Lord may do something good at a partcular time or at a particular place and we want to copy that same thing. It is a different story altogether when you do something because you heard from God and when you do it because it worked for someone else. If God tells you to do it like the particular person then do it, but if you are just coping without hearing from God, you are taking a risk and no one knows what will be the outcome. One things I can assure you is that it will not be good.

I am speaking from the things I experience so please just pray about this, search the scriptures and let the Lord teach you.
Be blessed.

Angry Unhappy Christians

Unfortunately its true, we do have angry and unhappy Christians. I always wonder why its like that. God promises us joy, peace and happiness and yet we still have a lot of angry unhappy Christians. I believe it’s time we re-evaluate our Christianity. Christianity is not supposed to be a bondage and a burden. It’s supposed to give us life in abundance. , We have a people who are Christians out of duty and not out of a free will and love for God. People are just afraid of going to hell and they are teaching other people fear and bondage instead of love and freedom. Bondage brings hatred, anger and unhappiness. It saddens me to see my brethren suffering and not enjoying Christianity. This week I encourage you to lighten up and stop judging everyone that comes your way. This week I encourage you to let go and let God be . Lets re-evaluate our Christianity, why are we Christians?

New Beginnings (Planting)

Its has been a while since I wrote something on this blog. I am back!! Me and my wife are now in the process of planting a church. I have been running around this calling for a long time and now it is time to get back. Last year I was in the process of registering the Church and I just felt from the Lord not to go ahead with it. The Lord then led me to a church where I served as one of the Pastors. When I felt the Lord wanted me to go back to planting a church after He led me to the church I have been in for the past year I was surprised. I was comfortable at this church. Everything thing is now coming together and I can see clearly what the Lord wants me to do at this particular moment in time. I have learned a lot of lessons on my way to making this decision, some were hard and some not so hard. The Lord can use anyone and anything to mold us. I appreciate all the seasons I have went through until this point. I humbly ask for your prayers as I enter into this new season of my lif...

He Protects

Ladies and gentleman, it is true. God does protect His own. If you desire protection from any force that may come against you, God is the answer. He is the one who constantly protects us. If we move ahead of God and never allow Him to surround us, we will definitely miss out on his protection. If you are a child of God I encourage you not to look for protection anywhere else but look for protection from our Father. We are safe under the shadow of His wings. Rest and be at peace knowing that God has got your back.
