In the Beggining

Genesis 1:1 "in the beginning God...."

So many time the Lord asks us to do something and as we continue with it we encounter some problems or challenges. We sometimes forget that when we began God said ".........". We get caught up in what people say and the circumstances we face. No matter how big the challenge, if it was God who said begin, you will overcome.

However if we do not stick to what God said, we will definitely not overcome. It is those who are constantly seeking God who will overcome. I am careful not to take God for granted. Just because God asks me to do something does not mean I am excused from observing ALL of Gods statues. I am not special and I will be judged just like anybody else.

This is just a little note this Monday to encourage you that if it was God who asked you to do something you don't need to worry or give up. Focus and move on, unless of course you are not living in obedience. If you are living in obedience, you will overcome.

Angry Unhappy Christians

Unfortunately its true, we do have angry and unhappy Christians. I always wonder why its like that. God promises us joy, peace and happiness and yet we still have a lot of angry unhappy Christians. I believe it’s time we re-evaluate our Christianity. Christianity is not supposed to be a bondage and a burden. It’s supposed to give us life in abundance. , We have a people who are Christians out of duty and not out of a free will and love for God. People are just afraid of going to hell and they are teaching other people fear and bondage instead of love and freedom. Bondage brings hatred, anger and unhappiness. It saddens me to see my brethren suffering and not enjoying Christianity. This week I encourage you to lighten up and stop judging everyone that comes your way. This week I encourage you to let go and let God be . Lets re-evaluate our Christianity, why are we Christians?

Overcome Fear

Fear is very cunning. I believe this is an enemy to mankind. We can believe all we want in our minds that we have no fear, however it goes beyond that. Believing in just in your mind is not enough. We have to believe in our heart. Take a moment and trully search your heart. If you have fear about something acknowledged it. If we do not acknowledge our fears we will never be able to overcome and move forward. We can never overcome what we don't acknowledged.

What to do with a dream

Almost everyone has a dream, someday we want to see ourselves somewhere and doing great things. If not then remember God has placed a dream in all of us. God has a plan for everyone. Once you have your dream, what do you do with it? Abraham always wanted a son and one day God gave him a son in his old age. God then asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac his son, i.e. the very same son that Abraham had to wait several years for. This was the son of Abraham’s dreams and yet God asked Abraham to sacrifice him. I guess it was a difficult decision for Abraham to make but He decided to hand over the child of His dreams to God. This week I want to encourage you not to exalt your dream above God. Let God be first and let your dreams come after God. If we put our dreams before God, we will never know God as Jehovah Jireh (The God who provides). After Abraham put his son (dreams) on the altar, God mentioned that He will bless Abraham because he did not withhold his son from him.
