There is certainly something happening in Christianity especially in Africa. We always hear about deliverance, we see people being delivered. We see people crawling like snakes, we see people saying they are married spiritually (spiritual husbands and wife's). I see this most of the time.
As I look at all this miracles and deliverance happening one thing for sure is that the gospel is spreading because the Name of Jesus is used during these deliverance services and stuff. On the other hand It sometimes concerns me. The enemy can also perform miracles, this is seen during the time when Moses went to Egypt to help deliver the Children of Israel. The diviners in Egypt would also perform miracles when God performed miracles through Moses. Though there are true men of God who are used in the area of deliverance we have to be careful of the false/fake
Another thing that concerns me is that people now go for this so called deliverance services just for miracles. People get excited when they see miracles and people being delivered. It is very rare for people to listen to the teachings, they just want miracles. Many times after this services people always speak about the miracles and the way people were becoming snakes e.t.c Let us be careful of where our focus is.
Another thing that concerns me is that sometimes we see the same people being delivered. This concerns me because after "deliverance" if a person does not learn more about the Word of God and close the door, the Word says that when the demon comes back it comes back seven fold i.e seven times stronger. Imagine if something comes back stronger. A person may think "I have been delivered" and yet the demon is now seven times stronger and you are now stubborn to the point where deliverance is not working because you are blinded.
Let us be people who are constantly learning the Word of God. Miracles and deliverance are part of the Christian life but not the focus. The main focus is doing the will of God and being yourself, being free.
